Every apparatus involving its own potentienly source of ignition during operation.

Equipment marking:

Products must bear an identification plate. This marking must mention:

For a solenoid valve

The specific marking of explosion protection specific "Ex" followed by the symbol of the equipment group and category of equipment (i.e. II2G) - See chapter Groups and zones

The number of the EC type examination certificate

A complementary marking concerning the identfication of the protection

The identification number of the Notified Body (NoBo) involved in the manufacturing phase (i.e. LCIE 0081)

For a cylinder

Name and address of the manufacturer File number or Notified Body certificate

The CE Marking is a legal requirement for products covered by one or more of the EU directives. It indicates the compliance to low voltage directive, the ElectroMagnetic Compatibility and the Pressurised Equipment Directive for a solenoid valve.

Identification of the protection

An electrical apparatus is provided with a marking conforming to the EN 50014 Standard:

This symbol means that the electrical apparatus complies with one or several types of protection conforming specifically to the European Standards EN 50015 to EN 50028.
